Over the past decade and a half, we have navigated the dynamic landscape of the recruitment services industry whilst supporting teams with their payroll and HR processes from start-ups to multi-nationals.

Where Talk Staff started
Talk Staff started in the midst of the Great Recession in 2009, on 24 June, so we’ve seen it all when it comes to workplace change, using resilience to thrive during tough times and succeeding against the odds.
Our people consultancy is underpinned by hiring knowledge built up since we started in talent acquisition, and we’ve been evolving ever since. What hasn’t changed is our focus: On delivering results for your company through inspiring your greatest business asset: Your People!

Expansion to the legal department
Welcome to the team Angela Harris!
Our Talk Staff team have been growing a hugely successful legal recruitment offering, resulting in exceptional placements in top law firms in the Midlands and beyond.
To build on our great reputation Angela joined the team to help match talented candidates and ambitious clients and will focusing on building and nurturing both Qualified and Support Level talent. Oh, and she’s only gone and won Employee of the Month twice since then!!
David Orange says “I’m delighted to welcome Angela, with her experience and our extensive knowledge and connections in the legal sector this will give our clients even greater access to some of the best talent available.”
Angela has extensive experience in the professional services sector with a strong background in both Recruitment and HR. Angela says “Having worked in recruitment for many years, I’m really looking forward to learning new things and working with my new team.”
In her spare time she knits baby clothes for neo-natal units, has two Chihuahua’s and has even sung at The Royal Albert Hall!

A new chapter for Gary Parsons
As the co-founder of Talk Staff, Gary has been one of the key driving forces behind the company’s growth and success. However, all good things evolve, and for Gary, evolution means that after 15 years in business, he’s stepped down as CEO of Talk Staff and moving into a more strategic Non-Executive Director role from 1st April 2024.
Talk Staff’s Managing Director, David Orange and Operations Director, Richard Stokes, will remain in position and continue to be supported by experienced teams throughout the wider business.
For Gary, this isn’t just a title change; it’s a new chapter filled with opportunities to impact the world beyond the boardroom. He’s gearing up to dive into keynote speaking and immerse himself in exciting charity work – focused on his passion to break the stigma of mental health and wellbeing in leadership. What’s the backstory of this significant shift, what does the future herald for Gary and what new opportunities does it hold for Talk Staff?

National Payroll Week
We had a great time celebrating National Payroll Week from Debbie’s infamous payroll fun facts to the annual payroll quiz. We also delivered doughnuts to some of our local Derbyshire payroll customers and celebrated with payroll cake.
